Local media company Fourthwall media came to us looking for music to fit their beautifully shot promotional video. Within approx 5 hours we’d written and sync’d an original piece of music which worked really well with the subject matter.

The footage features a girl training in a boxing gym so rather than going down the ‘Rocky theme’ road, we thought we’d try something new. Jay turned on the microphone and recorded layers of handclaps, some breathing and a few tambourine hits then added a deep, rolling bassline with a heavy kick drum. Once everything was sequenced and arranged to fit the timeline, the levels were set, eq’s were tweaked and the finished audio was overdubbed on top of the visual.
